Autism Learning Centre

Skill Development Program

We offer a comprehensive selection of group classes that target essential skills needed in school, life and play.  Our academic component closely follows Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes and Standards for Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.  We adhere to best-practice teaching for children with autism in the classroom including modelling, picture activity schedules, familiar routine, repetition and reward.

Families have the option to register for as many classes as they feel will be beneficial for their child. Classes begin in September and run the entire length of the school year (10 month session).

While our classes are designed to run from September - June, we are happy to register students in while the school year is already in session provided space is available.

Parents interested in registering their child in any of our group programs are encouraged to contact Demetra Hajidiacos M.Ed. at demetra@autismlearningcentre.ca to schedule a free no-obligation consultation.  Financial assistance, through our bursary program, is available for families who qualify.
